Community Art
The Jjajjas from Naggalama, Kasawo, Kabimbiri, and Kangulumira have been involved with a workshop with Art Aid Africa. Together we worked through the techniques of paper bead making and also dying fabric. Some samples of their artwork is shown below
We worked with a group of young orphans from the Gulu, Kakiri & Entebbe and showed them how to make artwork from banana leaves.
Genevieve has been working with fabric to design letters in the shape of African animals to form words. The letters shown below are each 23cm (9 inches) tall and make an ideal gift.

A group of tailors and seamstresses in Nakawa Market, Kampala, have been producing a variety of bags, wallets, aprons and other items to raise funds for healthcare and school fees to support their community. Genevieve has been designing the products and Adam has been giving the tailors some business skills and household budgeting techniques.
